Bio
Edner Ariel Bellanger Rodríguez
I was born in Nicaragua on Dec. 7th, 1980. Due to the country’s revolution and civil war, I lived the first years of my life in Honduras. However, at the age of 18, in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch, I moved to Guatemala where I currently live.
I studied Civil Engineering at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, where I graduated cum laude, and later got an MBA with a minor in Finance at the Universidad Francisco Marroquín.
I have now earned more than 20 years of experience in Construction, Real Estate, Urban Planning, and Development.
For the last 10 years I have led an outstanding team of professionals. Together we have surpassed numerous goals, especially pertaining the implementation of sustainability practices in the many fields of a Master Plan. I successfully led my team to earn the LEED Certification Process of the first existing community in Latin América, acquiring Platinum level. I believe that in order to conceptualize any new project, it must thrive beyond local standards and operate at international levels, assuring long term positive impact.
The diverse struggles that the certification entails have strengthened my commitment and taught me valuable lessons. As a result I have become an expert in the application of sustainability practices in different areas at community scale, infrastructure, housing, and master plan execution.
